Frequently
asked
questions.

What is WB-EMS?
WB-EMS (Whole Body Electro Muscle Stimulation) is a fitness technology that sends low-frequency electrical impulses to your muscles, causing them to contract and work harder. This creates a full-body workout in just 20 minutes, equivalent to hours of traditional exercise.
How does WB-EMS work?
WB-EMS uses electrodes built into a special suit to stimulate muscles during specific exercises. The electrical impulses enhance muscle contractions, leading to increased strength, endurance, and overall fitness.
Is WB-EMS safe?
Yes, WB-EMS is FDA-cleared and has been used safely for years in physical therapy, rehabilitation, and fitness. The electrical impulses mimic the natural signals sent by your brain, making it a safe and effective way to train.
Who can benefit from WB-EMS training?
WB-EMS is ideal for a wide range of people, including those looking to build muscle, lose fat, improve endurance, or recover from injuries. It’s particularly effective for people who are short on time, have joint issues, or are seeking low-impact training.
Who should not use WB-EMS?
WB-EMS is not recommended for individuals who are pregnant, have pacemakers or other implanted electronic devices, have epilepsy, or suffer from certain medical conditions that may be aggravated by electrical impulses. Always consult your physician before starting an exercise program.
What does a WB-EMS session feel like?
During a WB-EMS session, you’ll feel a series of muscle contractions that are more intense than what you’d typically experience in a regular workout. While it may feel unusual at first, most people find it comfortable and effective.
How long does a WB-EMS session last?
A typical WB-EMS session lasts only 20 minutes but provides the same results as a 90-minute conventional workout. Some studies suggest an equivalence of strength results as 3 to 4 hours of traditional training.
How often should I do WB-EMS training?
For best results, I recommend doing WB-EMS training 2 times per week, allowing your muscles time to recover between sessions.
Is WB-EMS a good replacement for
traditional workouts?
WB-EMS can complement or even replace traditional workouts, depending on your fitness goals. Many people find it to be an efficient alternative, especially when time is limited.
Can WB-EMS help with weight loss?
Yes, WB-EMS can aid in weight loss by increasing muscle activation and boosting metabolism. Combined with a healthy diet, it’s an effective tool for fat reduction and toning.
Is WB-EMS training painful?
No, WB-EMS training should not be painful. You’ll feel strong muscle contractions, but the intensity is adjustable to your comfort level.
Do I need to be fit to start WB-EMS training?
No, WB-EMS can be customized to any fitness level. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced athlete, the intensity of the electrical impulses can be adjusted to suit your needs.
What should I wear to a WB-EMS session?
You should wear lightweight, moisture-wicking undergarments for your session, as the EMS suit is worn over your workout clothes. I will provide you with a set of undergarments included in the price of the Initial EMS Experience.
How quickly will I see results with WB-EMS?
Most clients start noticing improved muscle tone, strength, and endurance after just a few sessions. However, results will depend on your individual fitness goals and consistency. I track all my clients’ fat and circumference measures every 8 sessions (typically 1 month). Everybody has gotten results within 8 sessions.
Can WB-EMS help with rehabilitation
or injury recovery?
Yes, WB-EMS is frequently used in rehabilitation settings to help rebuild muscle strength after injury or surgery. It’s also great for those with joint pain or mobility issues, as it offers low-impact training.
Can WB-EMS be used alongside other
workouts?
Yes, WB-EMS can be a powerful addition to your existing workout routine. Many people use it to complement their regular strength training, yoga, or cardio routines.
How many calories can I burn in a
WB-EMS session?
On average, clients can burn 300-700 calories in a 20-minute WB-EMS session, depending on the intensity of the workout and their personal fitness level. However, in my opinion EMS workouts should focus on building strength not calories burn.
What’s the difference between
WB-EMS and localized EMS?
WB-EMS stimulates multiple muscle groups simultaneously, providing a full-body workout, whereas localized EMS usually focuses on one muscle group at a time.
Is there a recovery period after
WB-EMS sessions?
While WB-EMS is low-impact, it’s still an intense workout for your muscles. You may experience muscle soreness similar to a traditional workout, so giving yourself time to recover between sessions is important.
How much does WB-EMS training cost?
Pricing can vary depending on the session type (1-1 or 1-2) and the number of sessions you purchase. Please check the Train With Me page for detailed information on rates and package options.
